The mission of Ecotat Trust is to preserve and expand the gardens and trails for the enjoyment and education of future generations. To guide us in achieving this mission, we are committed to:
Being a natural setting that supports learning, doing, sharing, contemplation, and mending of heart, mind and spirit
Using minimal chemicals, minimal irrigation, and xeriscaping to the greatest extent possible
Building upon our priceless assets over 1500 herbaceous species, 130 woody species, a cedar marsh, a glacial moraine and woodland trails
Reaching out to schools, senior centers, and communities all along U.S. Rt. 2 on which we are located and which links the coast, Bangor and the interior of central Maine
Continuing our membership in the Maine Iris Society
Showcasing sustainable plantings that are friendly to the environment, have multi-season interest, are readily available and affordable
